I am a glass designer/maker, specialising in lost wax casting.
I completed a foundation course at Highlands College, Jersey, then went on to do
a degree at Wolverhampton University where I graduated with a BA (Hons)
3d Art/Design Glass and Print in June 2001.
On my return to Jersey I set up a studio in the grounds of Samares
Manor, where I continue to make glass sculpture, wall art, vessels and jewellery.
Nature’s beauty, form and texture constantly inspire my work. My
aim is to enhance this beauty through the magical light reflecting
qualities of glass.
I like to make contrasts in my work exploring positive/negative images
to highlight their individual qualities. The positive shows texture
and/or colour, with the negative space, surface defining, framing and
emphasising the form.Polished areas give visual access to the space
within, where the light reflecting qualities of the glass accentuate
the design.
